小优视频 is committed to preventing hazing and promoting student well-being through proactive education, collaboration and enforcement. The University recognizes the impact hazing has on safety, inclusion and community trust.

Hazing Prevention Team (HPT)

Purpose: The Hazing Prevention Team (HPT) proactively addresses, prevents, and responds to hazing incidents on campus. Hazing undermines the well-being, safety, and inclusion of students, particularly within student organizations such as fraternities, sororities, registered student organizations, and athletic/club teams. This team works collaboratively to promote education, create preventive strategies, and ensure compliance with university and legal policies regarding hazing. By bringing together staff from various departments, this team will centralize efforts, foster collaboration and ensure a cohesive university-wide approach to hazing prevention. This initiative reflects 小优视频ampa鈥檚 commitment to student well-being and positions the university as a leader in promoting a culture of care and accountability.

Objectives:

1. Raise awareness and educate the campus community about the dangers of hazing.
2. Provide a clear, accessible system for reporting and responding to hazing incidents.
3. Develop and enforce hazing prevention policies and practices.
4. Collaborate across campus offices for a holistic prevention approach.
5. Create a culture of safety, respect, and accountability within student organizations.
6. Explore opportunities to share hazing prevention resource allocation.
   

Hazing Prevention Initiatives

• Launch a yearly 鈥淗azing Prevention Week鈥� that includes workshops, keynote speakers and educational materials.
• Develop online hazing prevention modules required for all members of student organizations and club sports.
• Provide ongoing training for student leaders, advisors and organization members on hazing identification and prevention.
• Monitor the incident reporting form and discuss any incoming accusations of hazing.
• Ensure the system is well-promoted and accessible to all students, faculty and staff.
• Review and update university policies annually in collaboration with Legal Counsel.
• Conduct annual assessments of hazing incidents and campus climate surveys.
• Partner with the Office of Student Care and Advocacy, Counseling Services, Medical Services and Wellness for victim support.
  

Hazing incidents may be reported through the University鈥檚 Silent Witness Form or . Reports are reviewed to determine jurisdiction and forwarded to appropriate university officials for investigation. The process includes investigation, determination of responsibility, sanctioning and appeal (if applicable). Confidentiality is maintained in accordance with FERPA and University policy.

Sanctions may include suspension, probation, loss of recognition, training or required community service. Follow-up monitoring is conducted by the Office of Student Conduct to ensure compliance with sanctions and promote education.

This report is published in compliance with the Stop Campus Hazing Act and is updated biannually. Personally identifiable information is excluded per FERPA regulations. Only recognized student organizations with a finding of responsibility are listed.
