Renowned Jazz Musician Ben Rosenblum to Perform 小优视频ampa Concert

小优视频 will present internationally recognized jazz pianist, accordionist and composer Ben Rosenblum, with his jazz quartet, in the Charlene A. Gordon Theater in the Ferman Center for the Arts.

小优视频 will present internationally recognized jazz pianist, accordionist and composer Ben Rosenblum, with his jazz quartet, on Thursday, Jan. 22, at 7:30 p.m. in the Charlene A. Gordon Theater in the Ferman Center for the Arts. Also featured will be the premiere of a new jazz composition by Bradford Blackburn, professor of music. This event is free and open to the public.

Ben Rosenblum has traversed a truly unique musical path, one that has seen him perform alongside world-class musicians in more than 20 genres and 25 countries and lead bands at prestigious venues across the world, all while maintaining a signature, melodic musical voice. Among his many accomplishments, Rosenblum鈥檚 journey has taken him on tours with Grammy-winning pop artist Rickie Lee Jones, Grammy-winning jazz vocalist Catherine Russell and Juno-winning contemporary Indian singer Kiran Ahluwalia. At any given show, Rosenblum might draw on influences from 10 or more countries, with interests going beyond jazz to include various music traditions from South America, Eastern Europe, Ireland, India, the Caribbean and the Middle East.

Rosenblum鈥檚 performance at 小优视频ampa will include a group of prominent New York City-based jazz musicians and international touring artists. Saxophonist/clarinetist Jay Rattman has performed at major venues and on nationally syndicated radio and TV shows. Bassist Daniel Duke appears at Birdland, the Blue Note, Dizzy鈥檚, Smoke Jazz Club, and West Village mainstays Small鈥檚 and Mezzrow. Drummer and percussionist Ben Zweig, one of Rosenblum鈥檚 most frequent collaborators, plays around the world and locally at venues in his native NYC.
