Career Specialties

As the assistant director of health promotion, Emily Parsons serves as the campus expert in alcohol and other drug (AOD) prevention efforts. She is responsible for wellness education and programming, with a direct focus on planning, implementing, and evaluating theory and evidence-based alcohol, tobacco, cannabis and other drug prevention strategies, policies, programs and services for 小优视频ampa students. Additionally, she plans, implements and evaluates the Spartan Connect first-year non-residential cohort-based program and the Vector Solutions population-level prevention program.

Professional and Community Activities

Parsons听is a member of the Tampa Alcohol Coalition and the Hillsborough County Anti-Drug Alliance, among other community coalitions related to AOD. On campus, she serves as the chair of CEDARS: Coalition for Enhanced Drug and Alcohol Resources and Study to bring to campus faculty and staff to support AOD prevention efforts.听Parsons is also a Certified Peer Educator Trainer.
