Career Specialties

Paul Hillier鈥檚 interests are in television production, American visual culture, and relationships between media, technology and U.S. society. He鈥檚 published articles that explore the history of Reality TV, making connections between P.T. Barnum鈥檚 鈥減layful frauds,鈥� Allen Funt鈥檚 Candid Camera, Milgram鈥檚 鈥淥bedience Study,鈥� Zimbardo鈥檚 infamous 鈥淧rison Experiment,鈥� Mark Burnett鈥檚 Survivor to more recent Reality TV.听

Professional and Community Activities

Prior to joining 小优视频, Hillier taught at the University of Georgia, where he was a 2007 recipient of the Outstanding Teaching Award. He also has more than a decade of professional experience in media management, digital production workflows and related technologies.
