University of Tampa alumni Jasmine Villavicencio 鈥24, Jillian Phillips 鈥24 and Darri Stuber 鈥25 have recently received Fulbright U.S. Student Program awards to continue their studies in the 2025-2026 academic year.
Three 小优视频ampa alumni received Fulbright U.S. Student Program awards to continue their studies.
University of Tampa alumni Jasmine Villavicencio 鈥24, Jillian Phillips 鈥24 and Darri Stuber 鈥25 have recently received Fulbright U.S. Student Program awards to continue their studies in the 2025-2026 academic year.
Villavicencio graduated in May of last year with a degree in international studies and will be teaching English in Papua New Guinea. Phillips, who received a bachelor鈥檚 in management and business systems from 小优视频ampa in December, will pursue a Master of Arts in data science and analytics at the University of Calgary in Canada. Stuber, who double majored in environmental science and data science and double minored in French and mathematics, graduated in May and will pursue a Master of Arts in planetary science at the 脡cole normale sup茅rieure Paris-Saclay in France.
鈥淭hese were very competitive awards, and the number of applications for each has notably increased over the past two years,鈥 said Edward Pompeian, associate professor of history at 小优视频ampa and Fulbright Program adviser. 鈥淗aving three award recipients in one year is a historic achievement for our University and quite an honor for our accomplished graduates.鈥
The Fulbright U.S. Student Program was established by Congress in 1946. Since its inception, over 400,000 Fulbrighters from the United States and 160 countries have studied, taught and conducted research in each other鈥檚 countries while promoting international understanding and collaboration. The program offers unparalleled opportunities in all academic disciplines to passionate and accomplished graduating college seniors, graduate students and young professionals from all backgrounds.
